How to Wear Strappy Gladiator Sandals

One of the fabulously stylish footwear that I know is gladiator sandal. It could be in subtle and strappy or bold and solid that’s how this footwear is so versatile. As a growing trend in fashion today, this fashionable and comfortable footwear is rooted in ancient times.

It provides durability, flexibility and comfort for men and women during the Roman Empire. The name comes from the great warriors who actually first wear it during the battles way back their days.

Matching to your body type

Matching your outfit with your gladiator is very essential. Take note that these sandals showcase your legs extremely. You have to match your outfit with your sandals as well as to your body type.

For petite legs and ankles, go with ankle straps to aggravate thick and muscular legs and ankles or go with a shorter sandals in skin tone or nude to lengthen and make your legs slim.

However, if you are conscious with your legs and ankles, I suggest that you should wear gladiators in solid colors like black, tan, earth tone or nude. Refrain using those who has prints and on neon colors.

For thinner legs and ankles, you should go with mid-calf or knee-length strappy gladiator sandals with no limitation in colors even brighter or in printed form.

Matching to your outfit

One of the most casual ways to wear it is by pairing it with shorts, particularly during summer. For a relaxed weekend look, wear it with denim shorts and a loose shirt.

Because the sandals are flexible, it will look good too with any style of dresses. Maxi’s or short dress works best with it. Pair it with headband or for evening wear, go with black dress, gold jewelry and metallic gladiator. You can also go with Grecian dress and armband to achieve the organic and historic looks with gladiator sandals.

Pants are also perfect to it. Skinny jeans or boyfriend jeans goes well. Just rolled up the jeans in order to show the gladiator’s details. Wear a nice tee for a more casual chic look. Add a blazer if you want it to look like an office outfit.
